Wendy Gearheart: (Update Profile)

Ryan Greene: (Update Profile)

Ryan is currently living in Fuglvag, Norway (an island of the west coast of the country in northern Europe).  He was in the U.S. Marine Corps from August 1994-April 2000.  He got out of the military a Sergeant, where he served with several units in Japan, California, and Tennessee primarily.  He is currently learning Norwegian.  He is in between decisions on applying for jobs in Norway, and going to college and studying art.  There have been a lot of successes and great things happen to him over the past ten years.  He would have to say getting married this last December has been one of the best of them.  He has also got to travel all over the U.S. and Europe, and living in Norway is SOOOOO NICE!  He would have to say losing his grandparents was pretty rough.  He misses the friends that he made at AHS.  He misses playing sports, cutting class, and goofing off.  He misses the fact that we all grew up together but seemed to lose touch as we pursued our goals in life.  There are a lot of things and memories that he does not miss about AHS, because he never really felt like he truly fit in, but he did try his best to get along with everyone.  He would have to say there are several that he has missed.  He would like to put down those that come to mind:  Joe Wilson, Jason Thornton, Darrell Davis, Jeremiah Higdon, Brian Holloway, Shane Cutshaw, Lenia Postell, and Misty Hardin.  You guys were his best friends, and he misses you all a lot.  There are so many memories that it’s hard to pick just one.  He wants you to know that there are a lot of friends that he grew up with in school that he does miss.  We all start new chapters in our lives, and he understands that it’s hard to keep in touch.  He would like you all to know that he is happy, traveling, enjoying life in a new country, and just keeping life exciting and interesting.  He is not the same Ryan that everyone remembers, and he will leave it at that.  He has grown up and changed a lot.  The glasses are gone, and he has a lot more confidence than he had in high school.

Misty Hardin Anderson: (Update Profile)

Misty attended Western Carolina University and received a BA in English and a minor in Communications.  She is living in Edmond, OK.  She is married and has two children, Andi Lauren and Daniel David.  She is currently staying at home with her children. The most exciting thing in the part ten years is becoming a mother.  The worst is having to move away from her family.  She has missed having Ryan Greene sharing a locker beside him for 4 years!!  The memory of the Class of 1994 is remembering how close everyone was- we grew up together and we all seemed like family.  She has missed Ryan Greene, Rebeka Jones and Angela Flowers the most.

Leigh Ann Herbert Marks: (Update Profile)

Leigh Ann attended NCSU and received a Bachelor degree in accounting in 1998, her masters in accounting in 1999.  She is living in Myrtle Beach, SC.    She is currently a senior accountant in a public accounting firm.  The most exciting thing that has happened over the past ten years are getting married, moving to Myrtle Beach, building a new house in 2003 and getting to travel.  The worst thing is she has had two miscarriages in 2002 and 2004.  The second one after doing In-Vitro.  She misses the fun times and the freedom at AHS.  She misses seeing her friends Emily, Sharon and Susan.  But, they still keep in touch.  She passed the CPA exam on the first try during 1999.  She still holds the memory of the song we sang at graduation, “Friends are Friends Forever”.  The thing that has changed since graduation is her hair keeps getting shorter and weight gain...

Jeremiah Higdon: (Update Profile)

Bryan Holloway: (Update Profile)

Matt Hughes: (Update Profile)

Matt is currently living in Murphy and working at Ingles as the dairy manager.  He has one daughter named Cleta “Hope”.  The most exciting thing that has happened over the past ten years is becoming a daddy.  He has been so blessed he can’t think of anything really bad.  He misses everyone and misses seeing all of his old friends.  There are so many memories that it is hard to pick one.  He is saved by the grace of God and strives to live for the Lord.

Rebekah Jones: (Update Profile)

Rebekah is currently living in Las Vegas, Nevada.  She has been there for two years now.  She attended college for two years at Western Carolina then attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA for two and a half years.  She majored in Child and Family Studies but did not obtain a degree.  She is currently a server/bartender in a restaurant in the casino Mandalay Bay.  She has a four year old daughter named Jazlynn.  The most exciting thing that has happened to her was the birth of her daughter and moving to Vegas.  She has not had anything really bad happen to her.  Just life as usual.  She misses her friends the most.  The memory she holds close is graduation and the days leading up to it.  The excitement and uncertainty of everything about to happen.  She thinks the thing that has changed the most about her is her ability to stand up for herself and speak her mind more easily.  She is more unlikely to let people walk on her.

Chris Lovett: (Update Profile)

Bill Lundy:  (Update Profile)

Bill is currently still living in Andrews, NC.  His current occupation is a vet tech.  The most exciting thing that has happened over the past ten years is that he is still living.  The worst thing is losing both of his grandparents.  He misses the freedom of his youth.  The only thing that has changed over the years is he is getting older.  The memories that are still in his mind are the band competitions and playing at the football games.  He says he has missed the ladies the most.

There is no greater joy. Looking back I miss the old days of high school when we didn't have to worry about anything, but we just had to grow up!! In school I thought we would never get out, but looking back where did all the time go. The time just keeps flying by. I miss you all. Take care.

Missy Pace: (Update Profile)

Christy Painter Teasdale: (Update Profile)

Christy is living in Andrews.  She attended Southern Community College and Tri-County.  She is married and had two children, Chrislyn Hannah and Jacob Elijah (Jet).  She is currently a police officer.  The most exciting things in her life are being married, having two children, and working in law enforcement.  The worst is her first husband was killed in a motorcycle accident and her second husband was ran over by an armed robber and almost died.  She wants you to know that people can change.  She has too many memories to mention.  A lot has changed about her since graduation.  She had missed Leigh Ann the most.

Farrah Piercy Rodriguez: (Update Profile)

Farrah is living in Waynesville, NC.  She is married and has one daughter, Josie.  She is currently staying at home with Josie.  She has learned Spanish and has used it to interpret and help the Spanish speaking people of the community.  The most exciting thing in her life is her daughter because she almost died.  The worst would be going through a divorce.  She misses nothing about AHS, but she misses Wendy Gearhart.  Her favorite memory is graduating.  She is remarried and her name is now Farrah Rodriguez.  Everything about her has changed her outlook, her personality, and her attitude.  She has grown as a person.

Charlene Postell Ward: (Update Profile) [UPDATED 08/01/05]

Charlene attended Western Carolina University and received a BS in nursing.  (Yes!!! ME a nurse.  Your butt is mine!)  I was working in Sylva as a OB nurse, but now I am working in Atlanta at Northside Hospital on the Admission Team.  (long name for admitting babies)  Now enough BLAH BLAH BLAH.  I am still living in Andrews and still on Red Marble Road to be exact after selling my house in Andrews at my yard sale.  (No joke)  I am still married if anyone can believe that I, Charlene Postell, could stay with one guy this long.  But I had to find one out of state, and I can't afford living alone with my two boys, Dillan 7 and Cade 2.  The most exciting thing in the past ten years is having a family that loves you no matter how many skeletons are in your closet.  Its as if I got a second chance at life.  The worst thing is having to go up several sizes in clothes.  I never knew they went that high, but I am trying desperately to shed them.  I am great friends with Jenny Craig. !
The most memorable moment aside from the Beta Club trips, trips to Myrtle Beach, softball, and cheerleading is my speech at graduation.  It really was a good speech but I was crying so much that you all probably couldn't even hear it.  I miss everyone but I get to see several of you because some of us had kids at the same time, and they are in the same grade.  Just think our kids together.  (You reap what you sow).

Lenia Postell Yonce: (Update Profile)

Lenia is currently living in Andrews.  She attended A-B Tech and Southwestern Community College and received an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice.  She has two daughter’s Adrianna Marie and Megan Cheyenne.  She currently works part time as a legal assistant.  The most exciting and shocking things that have happened in the past ten years is marrying Terry Yonce (whom I knew but did not particularly care for!) and becoming a mom.  One of the hardest and most enlightening things to happen is when Adrianna was diagnosed with JRA.  However, Adrianna has taught both Terry and I so much.  Most importantly she has learned how not to take the simple things for granted.  One of the happier times is when Adrianna was able to climb the Hatters Lighthouse, up and down, by herself.  When just a year earlier she hard a hard time walking. Adrianna is strong and overcoming the disease.  The worst thing to happen was when "gossips" and other "stupid" people would point their fingers at her daughter because she walked funny or was "different". But as Adrianna says, God is making her better.  She misses having no responsibility.  She still remembers senior skip day.  Since graduation she is more confident in herself; has learned who her real friends are, because they are still there and care; and her faith in God is reflected in the blessings of her life.

Daniel West: (Update Profile)

Tammy West McCoy: (Update Profile)

Tammy is living in Marble.  She is married to Brian McCoy and they have one son, Brannon Douglas.  She is currently attending college pursuing a biology degree.  She is a land use technician for TVA.  The most exciting thing is that God has truly pored out His blessings on us.  We have had our share of good times and bad, but more good.  All three of them have professed salvation.  She was saved in 1996 and Brian and Brannon were in 2003.  What more could you asked for but to know that your family will be reunited again one day in Heaven?  She misses seeing everyone on a daily basis at AHS.  We had it made and didn’t realize it.  One thing she misses is the girls from Latin class.  We could solve the world’s problems in less than an hour and still have time to plan what our weekend.  We were always up to something or going someplace we shouldn’t be, but we had so much fun doing it.  As for who she misses the most, it would be every single one of you.  She is still impressed by what a tight knit class we were.  When one of us felt pain, we all ached.  When one of us had a death in our family, we all mourned.  When one of us excelled, we all celebrated the victory.  She has really grown up a lot in the past 2 years.  She has been dealing with some major health issues and it made her take a step back and look at things differently.  She has realized that you have to do the very best you can in life and take responsibility for your own actions, not someone else’s.  When you can lay down a night with a clear conscience from your day at work or at home then you have achieved your goal for that one day.  Since graduation everything about her has changed.
